TriSeed’s client is a major distributor of Pipes, Fittings, Valves, HVAC systems, and other industrial supplies in the Midwest. They provide essential services through their 24/7 Will Call counter, allowing customers to make walk-in pickups any time, every day of the year.


Goal:


The goal is to identify opportunities for TriSeed to enhance the client’s customer experience. This may involve optimizing operations, improving response times, and exploring technology-driven solutions to better serve walk-in customers and streamline overall processes.





Challenges:


Embracing Technology in the US Construction Industry


The US construction sector historically favored traditional, non-tech-based approaches, with many engineers and managers prioritizing human interactions over technological interventions. However, the emergence of a younger workforce and the introduction of new technologies is catalyzing a shift in this trend.


Prior to implementing Vision AI, the following ideas were proposed:


  1. Implementation of a check-in kiosk tablet

A and B were considered ambitious, as the addition of new processes and technology may not align with the preferences of our client's customer base. Option C was deemed cost-prohibitive and not a viable avenue for consideration.

Several algorithms are available for detecting objects, and they can be customized and enhanced based on specific business needs and project requirements. For this particular project, the current algorithm we’ve implemented is highly accurate and performs well in meeting the objectives.

  • Customer wait times, client’s SLAs as respect to actual response Layout of the restaurant.

  • Ambiance of the Restaurant and the Coffee on the Table: Its Relevance. Upselling opportunity.

  • Recommendations, notifications for adding employees to the dinning area as needed.
